At 36 years old, Rusty Humphries has been in the radio and music business for over 20 years. He was inducted into the Nevada Broadcasters Hall Of Fame, as itÒs youngest member.

Humphries is the host of the nationally syndicated Rusty Humphries Show heard weekdays from 6-7 pm on Maine's Big Talk station. Rusty is heard on nearly 200 radio stations nationwide.

Rusty has had quite a successful and colorful career. He's been a contestant on The Wheel Of Fortune, a tour guide at Universal Studios in Hollywood, and even a candidate for U.S. Senate.

Humphries' is a four-time winner of the prestigious America's 100 Most Important Radio Talk Show Hosts by Talkers Magazine. His peers through Radio and Records magazine have nominated him as Talk Radio Personality of The Year. HeÒs won countless awards and accolades for public service, including Celebrity of The Year by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. HeÒs been nominated for a national Jefferson Award for community service, and in high school was selected as Seattle-King County Youth of The Year by the Boys and Girls Clubs.

After his two very successful Rusty Humphries' Salute to the American Veterans concerts that drew over 5000 people on Veterans Day in 1999 and 2000, Rusty was named Reno's #1 local entertainer. The concert video has sold thousands of copies nationwide.

For more than 10 years Rusty was the Executive Director of TM Century Morning Show Services. His company provided parody songs, bits, music and jingles to over 300 morning radio shows in America as well as another 500 worldwide via The Armed Forces Radio Network.

He has hosted local and syndicated talk shows as well as morning shows in New York City, Dallas, San Diego, Atlanta and Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Humphries has also worked at radio stations in Chicago, Los Angeles, Seattle, Kansas City and Portland, Or.

Rusty is a singer/songwriter. In addition to writing more radio morning show jingles than anyone alive, (heard on radio stations all over the world). He wrote and produced the theme song for The Rush Limbaugh TV Show and has written and performed materials for The Rush Limbaugh Radio Show, Saturday Night Live, MTV, VH-1, NBC, Fox News, CNN and more. His song, Do The Bart Simpson, made national charts and was the inspiration for The SimpsonÒs multi-platinum CD.

In 1996, Rusty produced a film documentary called Radio In America Ö The Jockumentary. It was the first film made specifically for the radio industry. After selling thousands of copies to radio industry alone, HBO, A&E and other cable networks have shown interest in broadcasting the film.

Recently, 14 children in Fallon, Nevada have been diagnosed with childhood leukemia in just the past two years. If the percentages were the same, and this happened in New York City, over 44,000 children would be effected. In May 2001, he raised over $35,000 in six hours and took the entire Fallon Cancer Cluster to Disneyland.

He considers his passion for children and veterans issues to be the most important parts of his career.
